We will be flying into Manchester, NH & renting a car to drive to Portland, ME. Anyone have any tips on places to see or where to eat ? Have a place to stay in Portland, but not in NH.

Walk down the street and eat seafood. What street? What restaurant? It doesn't matter. It's all good. -Dan.

I wish I could offer some suggestions, but cannot think of anything right now. Portland has some good restaurants and art museums. You may want to take a ferry ride on the waterfront also.

I'm from Kansas so the only place we can go for seafood is Chinese buffet or Red Lobster. We went to Coco Beach, FL in June & had crab legs. So, I'll put that on the list.

There are nicer places in Maine than Portland IMHO. Its good that you have a tourism book to look at.

Portland is the largest city in ME, and the only city one can think of while up there. The rest are pretty much towns instead.

I do not know most of them, but they are ok. Remember that there is an art museum in Portland.
